This album features songs sung in Italian, French, Spanish, and Neapolitan. According to Paolo Conte, the use of different languages was dictated by the atmosphere of each track. The album takes its title from the singer-songwriter’s dog, also depicted on the cover. It is also dedicated to Renzo Fantini, a producer who had long collaborated with Paolo Conte, and who passed away in March 2010.
